The despot among wines, named after our first winemaker. Into this blend of Blaufränkisch and Merlot he breathed the scent of forest fruit, the red of a ruby and the strength of oak, from which it draws soft, warm tannins.
An ideal companion to game, red and smoked meats, dishes with spicy sauces and mature cheeses; it also goes well with barbecue and richer sea fish.
